Excellent

The check in check out process was very easy. We had now complaints about our stay other than that there was only decaf coffee in our room when we first woke up on day one. The hot pool was a nice feature.
For starters, all hotels in Banff are horribly overpriced. Caribou:
My room only had a small window in the corner and was so dark you had to open the door to the hallway just to find the light switches. Bathroom was also dark and not well lit. Toilet ran constantly and shower head was past its prime. Room was 75-100 ft from the spa and the essence of chlorine was always present. These things are minor and forgivable at a ‘normal’ hotel price but not when you’re paying double to triple the rate.
The toilet did not flush properly. It was slow to flush, noisy and kept running. I called front desk to get this fixed but I don’t think it happened. We stayed 3 nights- my friend fixed it by adjusting the chain after the 2nd day because it was annoying. It was an easy fix but I didn’t think I should deal with this on vacation. Otherwise it was pretty nice and clean. The property is abit old - hallway carpet / walls are stained. The pool/ hot tub is smaller than picture. The Keg restaurant is good- would be nice if had option for small morning breakfast such as muffins and coffee.
Nice location and rooms were fine but the price point felt a bit high. And a giant hot tub is not a pool - wouldn’t have stayed there if I knew that (kids didn’t like it).
Rooms great and property very clean. Check in and out was easy.
The only dining option in the hotel was The Keg which I have frequented in Ontario for decades and normally love. In this case I was disappointed. While my teriyaki sirloin was very good, my husband's prime rib was most unappealing and looked rather like it had been boiled (or sous vide'd) as it was quite grey. On our last morning at approximately 8:45, we went for the buffet breakfast. Every item was cold. Having said that our previous breakfasts ordered from the menu had been excellent.
Bottom line: I would most definitely stay again but would explore more dining options.
The service is excellent! The supervisor, Anish, and the lovely and caring Clara provided very professional service. I truly appreciate their kindness. This is a refined and delightful hotel, and I would definitely choose to stay here again whenever I visit Banff.
Everything was good. No major complaints. Easy 4 star rating. A few items to be aware of: 3/4 mile walk to shops/food made returning to the lodge impractical during the day (if you are tired after hiking) - local bus is easy if you don't mind the stops. Priced similar to closer properties. Air conditioning was off in August, so room got hot during day and wasn't cool yet at bedtime.
Convenient location a walkable distance from restaurants and amenities. Our room was on the top floor with a lowered roof that made the space seem even smaller. We’ve stayed here before in a larger suite so would recommend looking for a larger room if available/ affordable.
The hotel is pretty old and tired looking. Our room had a musty smell, was supposedly a superior room, can’t imagine what a standard room would have been like.
The continental breakfast in The Keg did not have that many options.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall, I did not think this hotel was good value for money and would likely try and find an alternative next time we are in Banff.

Property needs to be updated. Not cleaned very well. Not great value for the price even in Banff.
Good hotel to stay, nèeds little walk from downtown. Only noticeable thing was a the bathroom was not structured well in the room we got. Rest everything was good.
