This amazing place is a delightful respite in a generally overly hurried world. It is certainly beautiful, serene, tranquil, retreat, which is a perfect place to stay the night in the country! Large windows on the back and front side of the cottage give a view of over 200 years oak trees. Buddhas decorate the space creating a supremely gentle, peaceful vibe. It is much like imagine staying retreat like. Cottage is 100 yard away from private gate, totally secluded, quite from main city area but is near great restaurants and wineries. We are just 5 miles south of downtown Santa Rosa and 2 miles north of Sonoma State University. We grow our own chickens, you can gather your own fresh eggs for breakfast. The kitchen is fully equipped with full stove with oven and dishwasher and a refrigerator with top-freezer. Keurig coffee maker. The private full bathroom offers a washer and dryer machine with detergent. Our bright living room has sofa and electric fireplace and dish TV ( NO HBO, NO SHOWTIME) and DVD player( bring your own movies). Our water comes from a deep well, many people appreciate that it has no water chlorination or fluoridation. Our guest binder is filled with all the best local spots, and just about anything you'd like to know about our beautiful country and beyond. We are dedicated to serving your every need. We will make every effort to ensure that your stay at AMITABHA will be memorable and pleasant.

Very nice cottage about 10 min out of Santa Rosa. Quite fenced property with private gate. Cottage is small but nicly laid out for two people never felt cramped. There is another larger home on the property for a bigger family. Another couple was staying in the other home but we never felt infrindged upon. Fresh eggs in the fridge as a welcome surprise. Cottage has a full size stove. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was small but still had a good size shower. Best thing heated toilet seat with bidet want to get one at home now. Host kindly sent my Apple charging cord that I left back to us very timley. Would stay here again.

Wonderful Wine Country Cottage

In addition to being spotless, comfy, and situated in a peaceful, beautifully landscaped setting, this cottage had everything we needed. Our hostess was so friendly and even left us fresh eggs. We were close to parks, restaurants, and wineries, too. Five star!

Great Place - Excellent Host!

Super clean, gorgeous property - easily within drivng distance of all the top wineries. Only hiccup was not receiving the gate code, but Jesse was there & let us in. Fresh eggs provided was a nice touch. Turkeys on the property were a treat. We'll absolutely stay here next time we're nearby.

Gorgeous Property

We stayed two nights and it was fabulous. Everything was clean, neat, and orderly. They even left us eggs and bottled water in the . The property is on 2.75 acres and yet you’re five minutes from town, perfect location. We saw a deer, wild, turkeys, and owls throughout each day we were there. We met the owners, Jesse and Lisa, and they could not have been nicer people. They went out of their way to accommodate any of our needs. We will stay here again without question.

Central Wine Country Location

This is a great little cottage which has everything you need. The full kitchen was great, and the grill was great too. We cooked many meals here to save money on restaurants. The location was perfect to go to Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa wineries. Also, still close enough to go to San Francisco for a day trip. Lisa and Jeese were very good hosts, and the place was a great little retreat.

A slice of heaven

This was the cutest little studio in a wonderful location. On the outskirts of Santa Rosa so you are close to everything in Sonoma County, but on a gated property outside of town with woods on one side of you and a small open area on the other. Beautifully landscaped, too. Even though the owners live next door, there is a profound feeling of solitude and peace. I listened to the birds for hours. If you don't get up early and light bothers you, bring a good sleep mask. I highly recommend this sweet, peaceful property!

Perfect location for Exploring

Communication with hosts was very easy and they were very responsive. You knew you were in the country, wild turkeys calling and gobbling the morning. Woodpeckers. This was good for us. Very quiet. We visited several wineries, Sonoma Bontanical Gardens (excellent), Charles Shultz Museum in Santa Rosa (a real treat). Highly recommend. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful setting

The cottage is compact and well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The highlight for us was the garden with its variety of plants and birds - very relaxing. The local wild turkeys added their own special soundtrack to our visit. Jesse and Lisa are excellent hosts who responded to our questions quickly. Not so keen on Santa Rosa itself - hard to navigate through and the nearby wine tasting is greatly overpriced. Fortunately the cottage is well outside town, and there is good hiking only a short drive away. We recommend it highly. Chris & Becky

Santa Rosa cottage

Comfortable, peaceful retreat. Jesse was friendly and helpful and sent prompt replies. Enjoyed morning coffee listening to birds and watching wild turkeys come in to roost in the trees behind the cottage at night. Private property is close to parks, hiking areas and a short drive to town. Fresh eggs from the chickens were a bonus!

Great place

If you are looking for a place to stay near wine country this is it. Fantastic property with a beautiful small cottage. The property was clean and the hosts were proactive in making sure we were comfortable during our stay. We will return here again for any future visits.

Birthday in Sonoma County

It was my wife’s 60 birthday and she wanted to go to Sonoma County for the first time. We could not have picked a more perfect location or place to stay. The cottage was exactly as pictured and the hosts had great local knowledge of some of the places we visited while there. We hope to return soon!
