Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

As we entered Yosemite we realized how congested and crowded it was, so we were relieved we were staying at Tenaya which had everything we needed. The kids loved it! We had a beautiful time! Would definitely stay here again!

Lots of free kids activities to do and 5 mins from the south entrance to Yosemite. Disappointed No house cleaning in rooms but they did take trash and bring towels daily. Recommend eating at restaurant on site and not doing room service. Also if you order food pool side it will come in togo containers instead of on a plate like most resorts. Glass blowing class onsite was amazing.

Everything about Tenaya is fairly nice, from family activity to small snack bars which provides free flavor water to energy snacks and chocolate bars. Angela from concierge was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.she mapped out our main sight seeing routes which made our trip to Yosemite so much easier. The only complaint was the AC unit in our room rumbles and oud when it is on. The mattress was loptsided when lay on it. Lastly, there's a $30 fee just to use a microwave to warm up a cold sandwich.

Do not book this hotel. I woke up with over 50 bug bites all over my body, and at one point ants or bugs were crawling on my face while I slept. Despite reporting this to the manager, there was no help, no investigation, and no response to my follow-up email. For the price they charge, the living conditions were unacceptable. This place is not clean, not safe, and management clearly doesn’t care. Spend your money elsewhere.
