People smoking blows in the rooms and make them permanently stink and you can't enjoy slider doors open. Thin walls so you hear everything. Makes the property hard to enjoy.

Noice party going on outside my door

There was a party going on at 6pm ish when we got there. The catered birthday party was next to the swimming pool and right outside our door. There was loud music and at 830pm I hear what I thought was firecrackers and no that was not it, but someone from the party popping the balloon birthday arch, one after another, pop pop pop. I asked at 7 if it was going to end soon and was told oh yea they r done now. That was not the truth.

Lovely location, a well kept older motel, yes it needs some work, but you can see they are making improvements and maintaining things. The restaurant prices are high, but comparable with the local restaurants. Check in was fast and flawless, Luis at the front desk was very professional and friendly.

Great stay

We end up getting there a little early..the front desk said our room was ready and let us check in..we were on the 2nd floor facing the ocean which was AMAZING we had the windiws open and heard the waves crashing..i havent slept that good in a very long time...THANK YOU to the FRONT DESK and Cleaning team..we will be back

Motel. The bed was dirty upon arrival( just sand by the pilllows) and bathroom was old. Possible staying on second floor would help the room air and feel more comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here myself but if you’re okay with staying in a motel then this was fine.

Nice Location and Property

Nice place, well maintained and clean, comfortable beds. Has tables outside room so you can sit and look at the beach. Amenities super close by as well as bar and restaurant, and beach access right across the road in easy walking distance. Pretty quiet at night, though the place was mostly empty when we were there. Would stay again, just wish they didn't charge so much for the dogs! ($25 for each dog is a bit much!)

Beautiful view. Rooms were pretty decent. Wish it had a microwave. Restaurant food is alright but I’d suggest Big Sur cafe down the street. They have a killer happy hour from 4-6 pm. I was very satisfied here.

It is very painful to post a not so good review. This was a last minute booking and trip for me. l booked 2 nights here. I didn't set my expectations too high which was good. The pictures online are not true to what you get. The front desk staff was very friendly and the lobby is cute. I booked an ocean view room it said it had a balcony but what they call the balcony is just the second level walkway. My room was very outdated. There is no AC, they do give you a portable fan. I got there after dark so didn't notice the mold in the bathroom until the next day. The chairs in the room were old and ripped up. The bed was clean as I did check. The lodge grounds are nice. But this place needs some TLC. I would not stay here again and unfortunately wouldn't recommend. It is close to a nice beach and it was less expensive than the places along the beach in Cambria. But you do get what you pay for.
