Just an average hotel. In the process of remodeling an old Motel 6. There is no fridge or microwave in the room. The TV worked fine with some basic cable channels. The pool was big and deep, but we didn't use it as the weather was too cold. Nice towels.

Ideal for Hearst Castle

Booked at last minute after visiting Hearst Castle nearby. Great value for a quick overnight stop. Was undergoing some refurbishments to reception but room was spacious, clean and good bathroom. Good Mexican restaurant opposite the hotel.

Easy check in, close to beach, ocean views from our room, walk to restaurants, few minute drive to cambria and hearst castle abput 20 minutes , great location, fridge micro also, pet friendly with no extra fees fur them so thats always a plus, we will stay again definitely, tho they are doing construction and remodeling atm we stayed june 2025 but it didnt interrupt any part of the stay thankfully 😀 we loved it

Too noisy but ok for price

Meh. For the price I would say it’s great but I don’t think we would come back. The property is a mess. The lobby is under construction and the front desk is in room 101. Woman who checked us in was very nice and accommodating. I asked for a room that faced the ocean and she was nice to give us one. The room was clean. Others had said there was no microwave or mini fridge but there was both. Beds were ok. Not that comfy. The noise was the worst part. I can’t really blame the property for that but there were kids and babies screaming and running around the room next door and out in the hallway until 2 am. The phone in room did not work. I called motel number on my cell at 2 am and no answer. Very thin walls. I barely got a couple hours of sleep. Not fun. But being on a budget $80 for a Thursday night you can’t beat that on the central coast.

The check-in lobby is closed for remodeling so our check-in is in ‘motel room 101’, which is a diggity-dank motel room temporarily used for check-ins. The exterior of this former Motel 6 is a bit dated/peeling paint, rust on the air events, etc. Room is actually fine, clean and a value for what you pay. However, 3 of us between our two rooms can’t shower because……there is no hot water! So, that decreases the ‘value’ of staying here.

This is an old Motel 6 that is rundown. The hallways smelled like wet dog. The rooms have gaps in the door and you get light and noise coming through. The pictures of the rooms look nice but it is a not that good. The beds are squeaky and kind of hard to sleep on. The bathroom needs to be redone. We stayed only one night as we travelled to the castle but will not come back here.

It’s Affortable and across the street from the Elephants Seal visitor center & beach. I love that it’s dog friendly. It’s pretty spacious and clean inside, besides the dirty window. The front desk guy who checked me in was accommodating & patient. I would stay again next week.
