We stayed one night at the Masterpiece in the El Mirador suite. The staff was exemplary and the room was fantastic! We will definitely return here and encourage anyone heading to the central coast area to check it out.

The room was very nice and all staff that I interacted with were also very nice. My only negative was the spa. It smelled funny, looked a bit greenish and felt a little slimy. It might time for an acid wash. We did like that there are showers at the spa. The breakfast choices was pretty limited, but included boiled eggs, a few bread items, a couple of cereals that most kids wouldn't like, oatmeal, bananas, mandarins, and make your own waffles. It could use more choices but it was free. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return. I'd give it a 4.5.

Great breakfast

Great breakfast and location only 20 mins walk to Morro Rock. Friendly staff, lovely big room made this a very enjoyable stay.

It was a good stay when the weather is cool. There is no AC so I would not recommend for the summer time. Also the hot tub was not very clean so I didn't chance getting in. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was quick, easy and yummy. Rooms were very clean.

Pros outweigh the cons

The hotel is dated but very clean. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was wonderful and helpful!! There's a heated jetted tub and ample dining area for the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is perfect if you want to save money. Yummy waffles, oatmeal, pastries, eggs, fresh fruit, juices, coffee and english muffins and bread for toast. The beds are hard. I suggest bringing a blanket from home. The heater is a wall unit that makes a lot of noise. We were startled awake by the sound of the metal popping more than once. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. Parking is tight but very convenient if you get one. There is no elevator so beware if you have a lot of luggage or bad knees like me. We would stay here again. The great rate plays a huge role for us.

The hotel was lovely, inside and out, with pleasant artwork adorning the halls. Pretty good breakfast. Comfortable room; very clean. However, there was no elevator and lugging our bags up the stairs was a pain. The heater was very difficult to control.
