Yuck

Checked in via virtual person is clumsy and impersonal. Paper thin walls, neighbors kept me up most of the night. Bathroom had an ant trail despite being on second floor. Outdated furnishings, and interior paint. Only good thing was Peet’s coffee across the street because I sure didn’t sleep. Won’t be back.

Lack of management onsite to address issues. Roo. Smelled like pet urine and the heater was broken. Asked for air freshener and the heater to be fixed 3 times and they did nothing, just said they would let management know. I would not stay again mainly due to a lack of management interaction.

It’s fine. For the area, it’s a good price. Can be a little rough around the edges, but that’s just how things are now. Lot of walkers. But it’s close to everything. Groceries and highway right around the corner. Breakfast is hit and miss, good biscuits and gravy but meat is eh. Overall, it’s not bad. For the price, can do a lot worse.

I booked a room here that said “pet friendly”. It wasn’t on purpose. That was the only option. I was checked in by a video feed of a real person being projected on a wall that was talking to me remotely from another location. She asked if I had a pet with me. I said no. She checked me into a room that smelled so badly of cat urine that my family could not physically stay in the room. I NEVER ask to change rooms. This is the first time in my life. But we had to. It was terrible. The new room was just fine. But when I came back to ask “the wall lady” if we could please switch rooms she told me “you booked the pet room.” Yuck.

First the check in was via remote access, interface was with a computer screen and a person at the other end. It was difficult communicating with the individulas who were not fully English proficient. The first room we were checked into had a broken AC, we were moved to another room. In the second room the refrigerator did not cool work and our milk spoiled. Even thought we had the do not disturb sign on our door for our 4 night stay, someone came into our room each day while we were our and change the setting on the air conditioner.

We stay here all the time. I'm used to seeing workers at the front desk. What happens if there's an incident that needs immediate attention? I'd rather notify a person that's on premises. Other than that it's not fancy but a good value. It's also close enough to places like Lagunitas and Brewster's. Cafe Bellini next door is good as well.

Poor customer service -

Hotel does not have any desk staff to check-in or help with any services. You are met with a television screen in an empty office and a man/woman on the screen who is in Columbia South America. I had trouble getting room keys that worked and found that to be frustrating. Also when I wanted to use the laundry room it was locked and required a key. Again you have to go to the television screen and make the request. Problem is that there is no human to hand you the key, and the maintenance and housekeeping staff wandering around outside do not speak English. Very poor customer service when you have to rely on a face on a screen who is 4000 miles away.
