The Garland was such a lively and fun place to stay. We stayed at two hotels during our trip, and I’m really glad this was one of them. The energy was great and the events they hosted were awesome. The pool and fitness center were really nice, and the room had a cool, groovy design while still being super comfortable. The trolley to Universal was one of my favorite parts. It was so cute and made getting there really easy. The restaurants both looked great, and I loved the store too. Everything felt thoughtful and well done. I would definitely stay here again.

When I first arrived, the room was extremely hot and took about an hour to cool down enough to be comfortable. The room I was provided was all oddly built…when the door was open, you could see straight through the room, which made me feel unsafe leaving my belongings. I called the front desk several times to ask questions but no one answered (no matter what time of day) so I had to make multiple trips back and forth to the desk. The room was also missing basic amenities like a microwave, bottle opener, and luggage rack, and both the cable and WiFi were spotty during my stay. Parking was convenient, and I did appreciate being able to go in and out of the parking garage throughout the day. However, overall, the stay was not worth the price.

Check in was easy. Bernadette was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. I love the shower doors as they kept water from getting on the floor while showering. The only downside to the location is all the air traffic which is to be expected since your less than a mile from LAX.
