The staff was lovely. The space was beautiful. Everything was clean, nice and neat. The food options in my room were great and I love the convenience with the shuttle right next to the airport was just very easy to get to where I needed to go and easily get back to the airport in just a couple minutes

The staff at the Sheraton Gateway were very kind and hospitable. However, the cleanliness of the original room I stayed in (526) was very unclean. I experienced bug bites/bed bugs and had to switch rooms. This was my first experience traveling to the west coast and I truly wish I’d chosen another hotel. I began developing clusters of red bumps on my left hand, elbow and finger. The manager AJ was so gracious to change my room and I immediately noticed a difference. Unfortunately, because of this I will not stay at this hotel again.

“Traditional” versus “Deluxe” room difference

In case anyone is wondering, the difference between a “traditional” room and a “deluxe” room is simply that deluxe rooms are on the upper floors, presumably with a nice view. Otherwise, they are exactly the same. The traditional room price was $157 per night versus $194 for the deluxe, so about a 25% premium. We were just staying one night because we had a morning flight out the next day, so we chose the traditional room. It was very nice.
