Darling Cottages & Roomy Rooms

This is a super darling place to stay. Very quaint and has an offsite breakfast location that offers quite a lot of variety. The rooms are quite large and the shower was awesome. It's nearby to a lot of local things and had a nice view overlooking a garden. For those with EV's there's a Supercharger about 5 miles away with a good Starbucks as a pitstop. Be patient when checking in and out - it's privately owned so they are not supported with corporate type IT tools. The primary greeter at the restaurant we think is one of the owners. She should have other people wait on guests in the restaurant. It's not her forte. Regardless, I would stay here again it was a nice little find.

Great location to Amenities and Heated Pool!

Nice place to stay overall. Positives: walkable and close to the ocean, local lighthouse (for tours!), butterfly museum, golf course, and 2 restaurants; also an easy drive to downtown PG and 17 mile drive. Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the room had a fireplace and there’s a heated pool and hot tub on the property. Downsides: bathroom was so small, breakfast was a paper bag of snacks (muffin, tangerine, granola bar, apple juice) so had to go buy breakfast elsewhere.

It was okay. I liked the fireplace and size of room, but we were in a room that hadn’t been updated in a very long time. It’s cold at this time, definitely needed more blankets n some comfy fluffy pillows would be great… Had a great time in Pacific Grove so it was a good stay nonetheless 😊

It was quiet. Could turn the heat on to a comfortable setting as it was cold. The floors had no rugs and it works well in the summer but was a little cold in the winter. No service during the stay. Made our own beds, not a problem. Would be nice if they swept the floors during the day.

the property is outdated. no fireplace screen, (code violation) the sheet rock and paint are peeling. The deck shows extensive rot damage. It's just not worth the money

The property pictures do not show a adequate description of the hotel rooms. The room had wall stains everywhere and uneven paint marks on the ceiling. The bathroom/shower room did not have a proper seal which cause water to accumulate on the floor when you showered, hence the wood rot on the bathroom door and trim. The sink faucet handles turned 180 degrees and were loose and unable to gage water temp. The fireplace would heat up the wires and tv directly over it which was a concern for a fire hazard. Nothing special, not worth $200 a night.
