Perfect location if visiting Carmel and Carmel Valley. Rooms are big and quiet. Great food choices in both the front and back of hotel. Cross Roads and Barnyard. Nice to have an Irish bar with music next to back parking lot. From Stratch awesome breakfast a two minute walk.

Carmel Mission Inn was a decent hotel for our small little get away. We arrived early in hopes to get an early check-in but they were not able to accommodate us and in fact the room was not ready on time, we had to wait for another 30 minutes. The shower had no water pressure, but the manager had it fixed right away. So other than that I would just say that they should not charge $30 a day for parking (and this is not told to you up front, so even if you don’t have a car they will charge unless you tell them not to) over all the hotel accommodations were nice and clean.

Carmel mission inn was super clean and really nice to stay in. The decor was nice and the rooms were spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nicely decorated. Avoid the accessible room though because the shower flooded the bathroom. Make sure you ask NOT to be in an accessible room. I would recommend it and would come back again!

Our room was nice, and serviced each day. Only complaint was that u r charged daily for self parking $30 and a $10 fee for amenities like pool and gym which we didn’t get to use either. There are a few restaurants that are walking distance behind the Inn. Suggest From Scratch for breakfast. There is also a CVS and Safeway across the street if u need anything from a store.

Careless Management is a sea bed for bad behavior…this is the summary of my experience at this hotel… When I came back to notify the management about forgotten items in the room after checkout, they refused to allow us back in to collect/check on our items or to call the cleaning team to check with them claiming they didnt find anything. Luckily i had my airpods in the jacket that was left behind along with my house keys … tracking this down back to the hotel to the cleaning room where everything was wrapped inside the sheets and hidden to be collected later. The behavior of the management was really bad, not being cooperative, not taking responsibility for the incident, and no apology after i have showed them where the items were. Very disappointing!

Gem in Carmel

Nice accommodations, easy/friendly checkin, ample onsite self-parking, comfortable bed, nice layout of the property, convenient onsite dining at Shearwater - bartender was great and made a special accommodation GF appetizer. Ecco-friendly, including wooden keys and no plastic water bottles. Highly recommend!
