The Park Hyatt is somehow both central and peaceful, nested amongst the trees of East Melbourne, two minutes walk from Collins St's shopping precinct. The staff from check-in to the pool and at breakfast were outstanding, helpful and hospitable. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We had a spectacular view over the Cathedral and Melbourne's autumn leaves. As it was our anniversary, we got a special card from the General Manager with a complimentary bottle of sparkling. Very satisfied overall with our stay.

in spite of messaging so many times i still did not get connecting room while check in. it was so difficult with kids to have 2 separate room's. if there was no rooms i should have been informed earlier so that i would have looked at another option.

An excellent room on Floor 19 which was clean and quiet. Plenty of room and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. However, the Gold Star goes to the team working the breakfast shifts. Christmas Day and Boxing Day were extremely busy, but the staff kept the machine working super efficiently. Add to this the quality of the food and you have a great experience. We travel extensively and this hotel is among the best we have ever stayed at in this price range.
