Have stayed here before. The room is cozy and has a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and everything you need. It’s close to grand central market and lots of other dining and shopping

A Great Stay!!

The Kawada Hotel is located in Dowtown LA(DTLA), close to the government and municipal buildings. However, it is conveniently located near or within a 25-minute ride to many sights and attractions. Kamada is walkable to Grand Central Market venue and Angels Flight Railway. 11 minutes away from Olivera St, Little Tokyo, and Chinatown. 15 minutes away from the flower district and shopping district. 20 minutes away from the Crypto Center and Grammy Live Museum. 25- 30 minutes away from WB Studio tours. The location is great!! Valet parking only, just pull up to the front of the hotel $40ish. Staff was efficient and nice. Hotel was very quiet.The floor planning was well thought out. The rooms are small (the size of a college dorm) 200sq ft. But beautifully done. Twin beds were comfortable and beautifully decorated. If you are on the go, doing things you won't mind the size, because you will get a quiet, good night sleep. 100% we will be back. Visited first week in June.

It was convenient being in downtown LA and not far from Union Station train station. What I did not like was that due to circumstances it was in the curfew zone during the protests. The hotel restaurant always closed early and there were no dining options anywhere near in the early evening.

Thin Walls/ phone not working

The hotel was walkable from the train station, which is why I chose it and it had twin beds. The problem was the neighbor's conversation from 3:30 -530am could be heard and woke us up. When I tapped on the wall, the guest shouted back, "what's your problem!" I could not call the front desk from the phone, so went downstairs. The night clerk was sympathetic and said he would let his manager know at 7am. Nobody contacted me about my complaint.

One night stay. Very convenient in dowtown Los Angeles. Close to Little Tokyo, to the transportations, and the Grand Central Market. The room is small but was perfect for 2 single beds. Microwave, fridge and AC in the room. The shower works well. A little outdated but still great. No breakfast available. Warm welcoming staff.
