The Postmarc Hotel is safe and quiet and well situated close to the lake and restaurants. The room was spacious, but we didn't like the "spa shower and tub" which was only enclosed by curtains. The shower was very uncomfortable on the soles of our feet too. Worst of all, there's no elevator, so to haul luggage up stairs to rooms was very difficult. We would not stay there again.

Issues at Hotel

We had water dripping from the ceiling of our bathrooom at 11:00 the night we stayed. We were asked to move to another room. The morning we left I ran the sink hot water for 15 minutes. I never did get any hot water. No compensation was offered which I think was indicated based on our experience.

The immediate surrounding areas were under construction and noisy. The front desk staff were nice but unprofessional. The rooms were cool but very outdated. The bed was comfy, but surrounded by mirrors.

The postmarc has always been a super unique hotel which is why this was our second stay there. However, it seems to have gone down hill since our last stay in 2017. The carpets in the hallway and in our room seemed dirty and gave off a musky smell. We found a roach in our room that kept running back under the refrigerator in our last day there. There were holes in the wooded walls and ceiling that needed to be repaired. The whole property just really needs some renovations and repairs. There’s a message to leave a sign out for the cleaning of your room but no sign is actually provided. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early, the bed was comfortable as well. The location is pretty awesome, it’s unfortunate the old chevys next door is all ran down but literally everything else around the hotel is walkable and very nice. Tons of food options, and super close to the marina while also not being too far away from state line.

Kinda hate giving this 3 stars because it’s truly unique property. The problem was the noise. They placed us at the far west right up against a building under construction. The sounds started at 7am and were completely unbearable. I’d stay here again once the construction is done, but that side of the hotel should honestly be shut down for now.
