A Magical Stay in the Heart of the Redwoods Our stay at Emerald Forest Cabins & RV was nothing short of magical. Nestled within its own private redwood forest, this retreat felt like a hidden gem—a perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. The towering trees surrounding the cabins created a peaceful, almost otherworldly atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind after exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Redwood National and State Parks. From the moment we arrived, Olivia was exceptionally kind and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a seamless stay. The cabins were cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. It truly felt like a home away from home. One of the unexpected highlights was how central the location was—just a short drive from some of the most iconic redwood groves, stunning coastal trails, and scenic viewpoints. And after a long day of adventure, we loved that there were excellent dining options nearby, offering everything from fresh seafood to charming cafés. Whether you’re looking to hike among ancient giants, take in the rugged beauty of the Northern California coast, or simply enjoy a quiet escape in nature, Emerald Forest Cabins & RV was the perfect basecamp. This place is amazing! Certainly the perfect getaway to be amongst the gorgeous giants and enjoy fresh air! The property is much bigger than I realized and there’s some cute trails and great staff!

It was very quiet but we did go in February so there were very few people and no one camping across from our cabin. The surrounding area is beautiful and Trinidad and all it has to offer was just down the road.

Overall great time staying here. Awesome food options just down the street, and there were plenty of outdoor activities within an hour or less drive. Only downside was slow wifi, but my partner and I didn’t need it much.

The cabin was very cozy, it’s perfect for a couple or a family with 1 or 2 small children . The bathtub was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes for two and a few pots for cooking. I recommend you bring all your groceries because you can’t easily go to a big market. The cabins are very close to each other and the campground is right there too. It must be very crowded in the summer. I went in winter.

We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Forest. The campground is stunning - we had a massive redwood right next to our cabin. There were a few issues that came up during our time there, but the management team was very responsive and helped us resolve them. If you want a peaceful, sylvan place to stay while visiting the Redwoods, this is a great option.

Cozy Fun

It poured with rain the entire time we were there and the cabin was a welcome, cozy and warm respite. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the deck but can only imagine how lovely it would be to sit there and enjoy the trees and the sweet smells of the forest. All was very quite, as it should be when in the forest. The cabin was very clean. There were just the right amount of dishes to use, wine glasses, water glasses, mugs, bowls and plates. There was a small refrigerator and a microwave. We used all as most of the restaurants were closed at dinner time so we ate from the grocery store deli. The bed was very comfy with soft, clean linens. The towels were large and soft and there was plenty of hot water. The location, which felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, was actually only minutes away from the charming town of Trinidad and the lovely beach at Trinidad head. Of all the places we stayed on coast of Oregon and Northern California, this was our favorite and would return anytime.
