This hotels advertising and pictures are not accurate. Though location is close to beach, it’s not worth it. The room was not clean, tv didn’t work, there was rust everywhere (I get we are close to ocean but I have been in multiple hotels by the ocean that did not have this amount of rust), and it smelled. The worst part was we found out in the morning the main door didn’t even lock from the outside. Anyone could have walked right in.

I grew up in San Diego and this hotel was always considered an upscale property, but I had never stayed there. The rooms are big, but the furniture/ decor/bathroom are old and dingy. Looked like they hadn't done any improvements since the 70's and the breakfast buffet was very disappointing. The biggest plus to this property is that it is close to restaurants and shopping, but for the price I definitely won't be staying there again.
