Tearable Hotel to stay and very bad app to book

This Hotel was filthy and smelled terrible! We found left over pizza in the the drawer! Almost threw up when I opened the drawer. I'll send a picture later when I go through my pictures. We were stock there in this Hotel for 5 days. We booked through Hotel.com like I always do when we go visit our kids. But if something goes wrong they can't do anything because we booked through Hotel.com. This happened to us last time with another Hotel and there was compensation. This is the last time we book with Hotel.com don't do it!

The beds were comfortable the staff was very nice and knew the area well. Every thing I did was in walking distance. I would definitely stay there again the next time we go out that way. However the continental breakfast could use a change. Maybe add more variety like hot and cold cereal.

Great location, hotel is on the olderside and needs a few renovations. Parking is very limuted. Plan on one car only parking on grounds.

We overheard that this property might be closing by the end of the year. We feel like we got a deal staying so close to the water for the price we paid and maybe that's why. But staff was really nice. Free breakfast was a lot more generous than most places. I was not aware ahead of time that they charge for parking but with the location it makes sense.
