Not so great hidden Jem

I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 am after a long day and was greeted by someone who left me feeling I had interrupted their show and rushed off. The next morning in found parking and breakfast are not part of the $170 price tag. I love a nice shower like the next but I felt as I was being sand blasted with water while showering, clearly no water restrictive devices in this corner of California. The highlight of this stay was Snapper Jacks Taco Shack the food and people were amazing and a two minute walk. In short I have been traveling quite a bit over the past few years for work and pleasure and I would’ve rather stayed at the Days Inn Camarillo for half the cost and the same amenities.

Carpet was wet, sliding door was left open and we were on the ground floor. Housekeeper knocked at 8 repeatedly waking us as she was ready to clean. The linens are worn & the bathroom needs tile repair. Carpet was so wet we couldn’t go barefoot & having the air conditioner on cause humidity.

Incredibly average. Hallway carpet was in need of cleaning. Charged for parking adjacent to strip mall lot. No breakfast. Room was typical hotel. For $200 I’d like to have had a better experience
