Rented a cabin with a kitchen so we could cook there. . Kitchen lacked basic supplies including, bowls of any size, only one spoon but 20 forks, no oven pan, no cutting board, (though for some unfathomable reason there were 20 heavy decorative plates), no water stopper for the big tub in the room. The small coffee maker was the type found in hotels that use round pods to hold grounds, but the coffee they left in the room was a small bag of ground coffee that didn’t work with the pot provided. There was lipstick smeared on a coffee cup in the cabinet, just one wine glass, and no kindling to use to start a fire in the wood burning fireplace. I understand that with new owners, required capital improvements can take time, but we would have been happy with a basic stocked kitchen, which requires only about $40 to stock and a checklist for the cleaners to use to keep it stocked. To be fair, the front desk provided me with spoons and a tub stopper, but said they lacked any additional supplies. Got the impression that staff didn’t much care, though the lady who checked us in earlier in the day was friendly and tried to be helpful.
