North Beach accommodation with spa

The breakfast stuff at entry were very rude and disrespectful. Maria yelled at me and my wife and even when we asked for the manager she continued to be rude . Parking expenses and the system was not working. Rooms were average condition. The hot water to take shower was not easy to use. I had a very bad experience and would not recommend this place at all.

Fabulous location! Funky old European style hotel with bathrooms down the hall. Very small rooms with Portland ventilation. Pricier than I thought it was.

Ny room overlooled the garbage pick up for several businesses. Quite annoying in the morning,

The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.

When we arrived at the hotel, I was told that they had overbooked, gave me a letter promising me that the Holiday Inn across the street would give me the same wonderful experience. Not. I understand that hotels want to fill their rooms, but I do feel that we should have been given a call or an email as a heads up. IF I wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn, I would have reserved room. The front desk clerk acted like he really didn't give a damn and that is not acceptable. Before I sound like a Karen, I booked this room as a little pick me up from our regular life. We were in San Francisco on some business and our business has been very tough lately. Normally I'd book a less expensive place, but I wanted this to be just a little special.
