Good value

Good price for the location. In a quiet area so a good night's sleep was no problem but was central enough with plenty shops and restaurants within a 5 minite walk. Its seen better days and could maybe do with a bit of a refurbishment, however it was clean enough.

Good value, but old and noisy

A good price, but room very dated and in need of repair. Walls/floors very thin so I could hear my upstairs neighbour banging wardrobes and wheeling their case at 6am. Bathroom was tiny and shower reminded me of school changing rooms.

Do NOT stay at this hotel

Awful experience with the staff and the management. The heater in my room made a loud noise throughout the night, which woke me up three times. I reached out to the night shift staff for assistance, only to be informed that no maintenance personnel were available and that I would have to wait until the morning. The only solution offered was to turn off the heater, leaving me without proper heating overnight. The heater was never fixed the following day, despite my request. I requested a room change, but I was told that the hotel was fully booked. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was informed that they only work in the morning and do not handle emergency matters. I was then instructed to submit my complaint via email..

Lift was broken. Well worn and very small. No shampoo or availabilty to access kitchen facility/microwave. Water pressure was very low and took nearly 5 minutes for shower to get warm. TV was small, too high wrong display. Had to ask for a remote. Staff was friendly.

Vi fik et værelse i kælderen, som var utroligt småt. Det lignede et fangehul og var virkelig uhyggeligt at bo på. Der var okay rent, og vi fik roomservice 2 gange ud af de 4 dage vi var der. Dog kunne vinduet ikke rigtig lukkes ordenligt, så det trak enormt meget ind, og man kunne lugte hash fra folk der røg på gaden. Hvis man leder efter en hurtig overnatning kan det lige gå, men lad vær hvis det er mange overnatninger. Der er nærmest intet plads til at gå rundt på værelserne, og sengene er ikke specielt gode.

A very definite 10/10

The very low rates, initially raised a level of scepticism, so I thought I'd take a look at some of the reviews. Quite unexpectedly, I saw so much positivity that I had to give it a go. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room size was more than adequate for my needs, all set in a pleasant leafy borough in easy walking distance from Kensington Palace, Hyde park, Portobello Road and Notting Hill. Public transport in the area was so accessible, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment with a healthy 10 out of 10. I just hope that they have vacancies next time I'm in town.

Second time I’ve stayed here and I can honestly say it’s by far the best hotel in the area for its price. I paid a small amount for a huge room that was very clean with a lovely view. I cannot say enough about how great this find was and I shall certainly be coming back
