We had a great four night stay atthe Tudor Court Hotel. Just a few minutes walk to Paddington Station. A lovely garden was just outside the door. The staff were helpful providing maps and great suggestions for local eating establishments and where to catch the circle bus. Victoria's pub, a few blocks away offered a great pub experience (two men shared a small table with us. It was quite crowded) and very good food (beef pie, fish and chips). The Tudor Court Hotel is old, but clean and kept up. My only disappointment was the poor lighting in the room making map reading difficult. We walked a few blocks to the Alexander Fleming Museum just inside the gate of St Mary's Hospital. We walked to Hyde Park and Kensington Park and toured Kensington Palace. Very good location. I would go here again.

The hotel and room was very clean staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Especially when trying to find places to eat or visit. Very close to the train station making it easy to travel on London.

Awesome location. Really close to paddington station and hop on/off bus stop. Reception was so helpful. No lift, so be ready for a work out up the stairs. Tiny bathroom but has plenty of hot water.

Staff were great, just had a few problems with the property. I’ll start with the good. It was 3-5 minute walk from paddington, which is great. The area is quite nice on the street. Staff were very helpful. The room was fine, small like you’d expect in London. The bad: no elevator. Quite an effort to get bags up and down. Especially for a short stay. Staff did help, but still. The fire alarm went off at 3am. No fire, just an extremely alarming situation. We quickly got dressed, grabbed our valuables and Ran downstairs. Even if it was a false alarm, it ruined our nights sleep. When we confronted the front desk about it, they said it unfortunately happens often. The alarms are very sensitive to steam. The rooms are small and ventilation is poor. They said “at least it works” lol.

My flight into the UK was delayed. Despite calling the hotel, emailing the hotel, calling Expedia - this hotel would not confirm that they would be able to allow me to check in at 9am despite paying in full for the prior night. The proprietors/employees spoke barely passable English, making communication next to impossible. Despite pre-paying, I chose to upgrade to a different hotel instead to avoid the frustration of trying to deal with them.

The front of house gentleman that was working there when we stayed couldn't have been more courteous. Very hospitable and friendly. A true asset to the hotel. Hopefully the owner of the property will read this and reward his employee. Unfortunately I forgot the man's name. Hotel is in an ideal position for exploring London, It was clean and tidy. Bit noisy from the trains but a small price to pay for convenience.

The hotel is located very near to Paddington station which makes travelling easy . Room is new and clean. The staff are very friendly , cheerful and make us feel very welcome.. Although no lift , the staff helps carry our luggages up without hesitation .

A cheap, cheerful, hidden gem
