The location was great for my coming and going. The staff went out of their way to be of assistance. With my bad knee, I did find it not comfortable with stairs. Everything else made up for that.
Room was small, only had 1 chair although it was a twin. There were no tissues or hand lotion available and the bath wasn't suitable for an elderly or disabled person. But the bathroom was quite well appointed although beginning to look a little shabby. The receptionist who served us was friendly and helpful
We stayed at the hotel a few weeks back, when I had similar reservations, although I didn't post comments. I hoped that we were unlucky then but this room was less satisfactory. I have been going to this hotel for over 40 years so am disappointed that it isn't better.

Great hotel located close to Covent Garden and surrounding area.
Lovely room, very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed with black out curtains which made 6pm look like the middle of the night, which is great when you have a little one that sleeps early. Breakfast was lovely, staff very helpful and polite. A young lad was very friendly with my toddler, which made him feel comfortable straight away. Check-in was earlier than I thought, which was amazing and check out was super quick, with a lovely receptionist asking straight away if I wanted her to keep our luggage for the day. Location was ideal as we could pretty much either walk to where we needed to go or get on the tube, which was barely 4min away. Bus stops right in front of the hotel too and great food nearby. Would definitely recommend.
When we went to check in they could not find our reservation. The receptionist eventually found it by going on line at hotels . Com. They had no record of it. It was fully paid and I gave her th receipt I had printed to confirm. She quickly sorted I wondered if the hotel had been full that we may not of had a room for the night ?
Hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance to tons of things. The staff went above and beyond anytime we asked. I would be happy to stay there again.
