I had to laugh at the name, but it turns out it is the last name of the person who started the hotel and the college. It was a short walk to the British museum, which i recommend. Lots of character and very comfortable.

Great place in a quiet area of London

Just a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross. Property is down a very quiet street which is rare for London. Lovely, big bed and great shower. Only a short walk to Russell Square/Southampton Row, where there are ple ty of pubs & restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break

Historic cozy hotel

The room is very small but extremely cozy and well appointed. It felt perfect on a rainy weekend in London. My room was on the third floor and the hotel has no elevators. However, the staff was more than happy to carry my bag us and then retrieve it at the end of my stay. The Hotel is in a lovely neighborhood and the hotel has an interesting history that is elegantly displayed around the hotel.

Hotel manager is horrible.

The hotel manger is horrible . Rude and not respectful . Room is so dark , the restroom is so small. No elevator. The stairs are dangerous.

High value, reasonable price, Georgian style

Perfect, cozy place to stay while traveling alone. Be ready to do the stairs, but if you need a hand with your bags the staff will volunteer to carry them. Lovely location, historical interior, super clean. Loved it.
