This is a solid 4-star hotel, and if it were positioned as such, the experience would be perfectly justified. However, it is definitely not a luxury 5-star boutique hotel. There is no doorman at night, no bar, and bottles of wine are left near the reception with a notebook where guests are expected to write down their room number and how many glasses they take—which feels quite awkward and not at all luxurious. On top of that, the cleaning staff was vacuuming the reception area during the day, with the noise constantly disrupting the atmosphere. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards or service level expected from a true luxury property

One of the best repurposing of an older building I’ve seen . Super clean and comfortable as well as very quiet . Staff takes great care of this hotel and are quick to help guests . Beds and linens are the best . The location ( near the British Museum ) is excellent and feels like a neighborhood with great restaurants and many cuisines . Planning on staying here again in just a few weeks. Easy walk to subway .

The whole staff is beyond accommodating. The outstanding level of kindness from everyone, From the first moment we stepped in to the Ampersand Hotel was the winning factor for me. My stay was a true joy!! And it really made our vacation exceptional this is what makes this Hotel the best!! Not only a beautiful hotel, and the best restaurant in Kensington. The food was the best quality and taste. But the staff truly made it pleasurable for us in every way possible.
