The location of the hotel is great but there is no air conditioning in the room. They only provide fans. During the 80 degrees hot weather, it is really uncomfortable to stay in the hotel.

Loved hotel in a picturesque area of London. Tube stations 5 to 7 mins walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful at reception and in the bar. Great breakfast

London sightseeing trip

The hotel is very nice, art deco , bar and lounge area nicely maintained. Beeakfast choice was great , was always busy at breakfast no matter the time. No aircon in bedrooms so they were exceptionally hot and hard to sleep, theres a fan in the room . The staff are extremely polite, friendly and caring and always smile and say hello. You're made to feel very welcome here. Thankyou.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and very convenient. The Indian restaurant inside the hotel was outstanding. Rooms were a bit small, but very clean & quiet. It was an older hotel, so no AC, but they provided a table fan which worked well enough for sleeping. Was in a great location, BT 2 tube stations. Very convenient, and a great Italian restaurant around the corner. All in all, an excellent experience !!!

Great location but no AC during a heat wave- unbearably chit in the 7th floor even with windows open and fan on high for 18 hours nonstop - almost impossible to sleep except in short bursts - the lobby bar WAS airconditioned but the staff closed the bar would not make mixed drinks and demanded cash payment fir beer wine or sift drinks at 11:15 on a Saturday night when there were still 35+ hotel guests there. Badly in need of an update - automatic doors should be installed and overall the ventilation must be improved- the smell through the hotel was nauseating.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and lovely crisp bed linen and towels which also smelt wonderful and added to the comfort and ambiance of such a good located hotel. Soap and shampoo were refreshing and shower worked well. We booked a room facing the park and loved the area- 10 mins walk into Kings X and Oxford St, Euston even closer with great connections for Wembley and the rest of the Capital. Nothing was too much trouble for the helpful staff. Will stay again.

Excellent location. Close to two underground stations and our bus tour. Gorgeous park right outside. Easy to walk to amazing food. Nice staff that was very responsive. Check in was a breeze. I would definitely stay there again. A perfect experience for my son’s high school graduation gift!

First stop in the UK after flying into LGW. The Tavistock is an inexpensive black cab ride away from a major rail terminal with service to and from LGW. Early check-in was available. Great staff and right in Bloomsbury - history, dining, everything. You are in a downtown hotel - so city noise will be there, but that is the price of being so central. A true 5 star for value and location.

Always a great experience at the Tavistock. Staff are so friendly & I don't think I've ever turned up pre 3pm and my room not be ready. The housekeeping staff are on it, put big chains to shame. Rooms very comfy, have everything you need. Great location too - close to transport links and within easy walking distance of the British Museum, Holborn, Oxford Street, Covent Garden etc. Its a bit of a find this hotel would highly recommend.

As a female travelling alone my priority was to feel safe, which I did. I didn’t want to spend a fortune but wanted a nice hotel. I travelled to Euston and was meeting friends in Kings Cross so this hotel was perfectly located being within walking distance of both and not off the beaten track. The hotel has a welcoming lobby/bar, and staff were friendly. I paid £175 for a basic room, which was just that, but importantly it was clean and the bed and pillows were super comfy. My room on the 5th floor faced the street so I could hear traffic, but it didn’t bother me. I was pleased to have a fan in the room as it was hot weather and being on 5th floor, fitted restrictors meant the windows could only be opened slightly. There was a separate toilet and the bathroom was tiny. The room had a safe, plenty of plug/USB sockets and the hotel provided an iron and ironing board as soon as I asked. Breakfast felt a bit like eating in a canteen but there was plenty of hot and cold choice, even though I didn’t arrive to eat until half an hour before breakfast finished. It was particularly useful that my room was ready early on the day of check in and that check out wasn’t until 11:00. I was able to leave my suitcase at the hotel until the end of the day after checking out. All in all I felt it worth doing a detailed review as this hotel ticked a lot of boxes for a budget stay and although I am a bit of a fussy customer, I was quite impressed.
