Great location, 2 blocks from underground that takes a person to Heathrow directly and about 20 minute walk to the train station. Staff was very helpful with the exception of Dominic, who did not seem to want to help too much. Otherwise staff were all great.

The property is in a very desirable location. The food was awful, I’ve had stomach cramp since which I believe was due to the chicken and mushroom pie. The pastry was hard and in hind side although it had been cooked likely it was frozen and had been frozen for too long. This causing (when it was cooked it was chewy and stale). I left most of it. The vegetables were stone cold. The portion of vegan cottage pie was so tiny my friend had to order another meal!. On the up side, the cottage pie was half refunded and a complimentary drink was offered by the staff, they were very good; I felt sorry for them as it wasn’t their fault.

Convenient, Clean and Cozy

The Tavistck Hotel was very good for our stay in London. It is located within an easy walk to Russell Square Underground Station, which made it very convenient and only a short walk away from the British Museum. The room was comfortable, though the decor was a bit dated, but it was clean and met our needs for the week. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

The hotel bar was magnificent! Hands down one of the best old fashioneds I’ve ever had. Expresso martinis were also great. Staff as helpful and friendly. Rooms can be updated a bit but overall I had a good and comfortable stay.

Good location

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay when going to the theatre. The hotel is near to a good tube link. Our twin room overlooked the park area opposite and the beds were comfy. The room wasnt huge but was ok for one night & had wardrobe hanging. The downside was the tiny seperate toilet / bathroom set up. There was limited space in both areas & no basin in the toilet so if someone was using bathroom there is nowhere to wash your hands! The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. The hotel lounge / bar area has lots of seating & comfy chairs for a relaxing drink. We enjoyed our stay.

Tavistock Hotel

Hotel in great location. Tube station 5min walk but can also walk to many places. The room (327) was not ideal for 2 people. Hardly any wardrobe space. Bathroom was compact. No fridge especially as it was very warm this particular weekend. Could do with some nets on the window as it faced a block of offices & we had to keep the curtains closed, again, not ideal on such a warm weekend. The staff were lovely, both on reception and in the bar. Would stay here again, but on a solo trip as the room was too small for 2 friends.

Very friendly staff, convenient location. Clean room with comfy bed. The only problem is a bit noisy facing the street, and there’s no A/C in the room. Recommend to friends.
