This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel as it’s a great base when exhibiting at Olympia. Having a little kitchen and Tesco next door is super handy. The team at the hotel are super friendly. I’d advise getting a room in a lower floor so you don’t have to use the lifts as there are only two and they are tiny, so getting up and down is a bit annoying. We were on the first floor this time though and it was perfect. It was the reception supervisor who checked us in and ensured we were on a low floor, I think his name was Antonio or something, and was very helpful. One thing that could do with a little improvement are the gluten free breakfast options. It’s great that they are separate and behind the bar, But maybe a wee muffin or something would be a nice addition. I did feel a little sad that the breakfast for everyone else had a huge selection and I just had dry bread / toast.

The staff was amazing. The issue we had was with our room and our neighbor. We traditionally love the Renaissance Inn brand since we have children and like to give them their own space. Unfortunately, our stay at this location didn’t live up to our previous experience with the brand. The door of the hotel opened into our bedroom and with the walls being so thin, we basically heard everything that was going on outside of our door. Including the family across the hall who allowed their children to treat the hotel like their personal playground. They were coming and going slamming the doors at all times of the night on top of a domestic dispute that woke us up on our second day there. To the hotel’s credit they did come and speak to the guest, but there wasn’t much they can do. As much as I do love the residence Inn brand I would not recommend or stay at this location again. We didn’t get one decent night sleep the entire time we were there.

We needed to change romme because of quite strong smell. Staff was excelent, but we got downgraded to get a room without the smell. To be franck all rooms smell quite much from the washing chemicals, but was better in the new room. But the downgrade without anny additional price reduction, was what made me rate as i did.
