I liked: located at 3 minutes from an MS food hall, Starbucks, pharmacy, and the Edgware subway station (which is more accessible than Paddington station). Hotel is clean and good-looking. My room was clean (probably newly made or remodeled), and I didn’t mind that the service was only provided every 3 days (was there 3 nights anyway), so that I didn’t have to care about leaving the room messy. A/C was very efficient during the major heat wave, but too scented (see below). The WIFI is included and fast (I could work on my laptop with no interruption). The staff is very helpful and friendly. The shower was powerful and clean. The bed was comfy. I had great blackout curtains. Breakfast goes up to 11 am, and it costs 13 pounds (if not included), and you can decide on the day if you want it or not (as opposed to committing to it at the beginning of the stay).
I didn’t like: This part of Paddington is not very interesting and not very classy. The street can be noisy at night (homeless, police sirens…). My room was small for the price. There is no drawer or table. You have to open the suitcase on the ground (roomy countertop in the bathroom, though).
Bad: the A/C blew a strong scent of air freshener, gave me a headache, and prevented a good sleep. I am concerned when exposed to chemicals found in air fresheners.
