The service here is impeccable , polite and efficient and friendly - loved that the reception desk and area is 'manned' 24 hours a day. We will be back - very handy for the Barbican
Useful simple hotel close to my office. The bathroom is a bit of a jig (the shower door opens onto the basin so its just as well I'm pretty small!), and the bed is so tight to the wall you have to climb over it to open/close the curtains. It was warm and quiet though, and the bed just right for one person and a good night's sleep.
Very nice staff. Front desk receptionist was very accommodating and responded quickly to our concerns. Very nice place, close to public transportation. The area surrounding the hotel is a little dirty and quite a bit noisy at night but the hotel is very nice. Will stay there again but in a different room.
Room was tiny but well appointed. The window pane is opaque and can be opened only a sliver. Bathroom good except the floor was freezing, I arrived late at night after a long day of traveling on the day of the Heathrow shutdown. The heating in my room was not working. Raj, the manager on duty, did his best to investigate the problem and then supplied me with a portable heater, which worked well. He said if I needed to switch rooms the next day, it would be arranged. I ended up having a comfortable sleep and remained in the room for the following night as booked. Give Raj a promotion and raise. The breakfast is very good.
Have stayed here before but seriously doubting I will again. Turned up to be given a room that they knew had a plumbing issue - but wasn’t warned. It reeked of sewage. Was disgusting. Slept a few hours and left early.
After 15 hours of traveling I was welcomed to a room which smelled like straight sewage. There was urine on the shower curtains, the sink clogged about an hour in, it was just a hot mess. When I brought this up, the lady at the front desk in the morning said that “This is the room you ordered so it’s what you should expect.” Verbatim. She was talking about my disabled room I reserved for my chemo side effects but failed to address all the hygienic problems. I was actually floored and I went back to this disgusting room. Every other front desk staff after that was willing and kind and helpful but jeez having that as my first physical interaction with Point A Hotels was totally disappointing.
