I found the front of house staff "awkward" The fact that there is no room service option until 12pm was very strange. I wanted to order breakfast to the room but was told I cant as room service begins at 12pm. We finally went downstairs and my friend planned on going to the spa after getting a cup of tea at breakfast, but she was told she was not able to sit in the breakfast hall as she was wearing a robe. Which would have been useful to know beforehand. The phones had no dialling instructions so you have to guess what to dial to get through to reception. The tv did not work when I told the reception staff she giggled and said "do you want us to send someone up to have a look?" Which made me feel awkward as I didnt understand what the giggle was for not did I expect them to ask if I wanted it fixed but rather expected them to say they'd send maintenence to have a look The room had a shower and a separate bath however there was no shower gel in the shower cubicle it was placed over the bath so you had to lather up and then head back to the shower As I said a very "awkward" place

The ten-minute walk to the Underground station might be a drawback for some, but the walk along the Thames and by the fascinating Battersea Power Plant was pleasant. The downside to the room was that the king-size bed was actually two twin beds placed side by side, linked together by a lumpy mattress pad. Front desk staff were very helpful and housekeeping was fine.
