Outdated and disappointing

Somewhat dated hotel. Very dirty with fingerprints and dirty elevators, doors, etc. Baggage staff was friendly and helpful was the only bright spot. We had arrived from our cruise too early to check in and we told them we were going to go on a hop on and off bus tour followed by a Jack the Ripper night tour and would return around 9 PM. The bell staff gave us a receipt for our baggage and we went on our way for a tour. We assumed that when the room was ready, they would bring the baggage up to the room for us. One movie turned at 9 PM theChecking in experience with horrendous. We had pre-paid for the hotel portion and had responded to email solicitations to add on additional features at a reduced rate. Specifically, a buffet breakfast for reduced price and upon arrival they claimed it wasn’t on there so they ended up charging us an additional50 pounds for a breakfast buffet that turned out to be completely terrible with very few edible items, a total waste of money.. I also had checked the box to pre-pay for a bottle of sparkling water, regular water, and a fruit platter upon arrival. after 20 minute negotiation, it was decided that they could not make a fruit platter at that point so I had to go down the block to purchase water. The bar closed early, so we also had to leave the premises to go get a cocktail across the street ... So, in summation this hotel is outdated, not maintained particularly well, needs a good sanitary cleaning and needs to be managed better

The hotel’s location was great, especially since it was steps from the tube, cafes and a variety of restaurants. The area was safe and not too busy in comparison to the hub of central London where all the tourist attractions are situated. The cleaning staff, front desk and doormen were very courteous and I was always greeted when they saw me. Overall a great experience

It’s roughly what you expect from a 3-Star hotel. Bed was confortable, room was clean. Building was mostly well maintained. Room was on the small side, with an odd layout (bedside lamps only work if the main room light is switched on, and all the surfaces are covered in protective glass which feels cheap), air conditioning didn’t seem to work and it was very hot when I visited.

I have stayed at this hotel before (because the location is great for visiting South Kensington museums). This time we stayed in a Club room which I expected to be a bit special but the only really good thing was the bath robes and slippers. There was limited access to plus sockets as the furniture was blocking many of the sockets. The toilet was directly behind the toilet door and was extremely cramped. At breakfast there was only one toaster for a significant number of people to use. Our positive takeaway was the staff, who were all extremely kind and helpful.

I've stayed here before and love it for convenience. Close to places like V&A. Across the street from tube stop that will zip you to many tourist destinations. The negatives are relatively minor. In this era when everyone is charging devices I wish the bedside plug was more convenient. You have to reach behind night stand near floor. No tea maker. What British hotel doesn't have tea maker. I'm short, elderly, and nearsighted and I found getting in and out of the shower uncomfortable. A signicant step down when exiting. If you're 30 and 6 feet talk you won't mind l.

We have stayed at the Millenium Gloucester on three previous occasions. It is easily accessible from Heathrow, the neighbourhood is good, and the rooms are usually good. On this visit, we were given a room that overlooked the HVAC on the roof (to the exclusion of any other view) such that we didn’t even open the curtains. On previous visits, there were robes in the closet, Kleenex in the tissue holder and toiletries in the bathroom counter. All were missing in this visit. If we hadn’t been leaving for a morning flight, we might have made an issue of it, but we had just arrived from a 9 hour flight and didn’t have the energy. We expected better and were disappointed.

This hotel had great friendly service...location was awesome, just steps from the Underground. Tons of restaurant options, a Tesco mni market and Boots pharmacy close too. Beds were comfy, room size generous and the scent of the bath products heavenly. The extra deep tub/shower was a little difficult to get in and out, and water pressure was just ok. Breakfast buffet had great options (would it kill you for pancakes or waffles once in a while?) With lots of international options too. I'd absolutely love to stay here again.
