The room smelled of damp. The floor had water oozing from between the joints as you walked on it. The skirting and architraves were swolen due to the damp conditions. Door handles hanging off, tv on a slant, picture fixings out out the wall, Door closer slams the door, lights miing and loose in ceiling ss

The person at the reception named Omar (I think that was his name). He was very nice and friendly. He upgraded my room and I was very thankful for that. However, there was a very strong smell in the toilet. When I complaint, I believe the woman was a manager, she said she has checked and there was no smell and sort of made it out as if I was wrong. Following my complaint they had put so much bleach in the bathroom that it was difficult to breath in the room afterwards. I won’t recommend this hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean with a recently upgraded bathroom. We did not have breakfast as we had an early start. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was good for the price range and its star rating. I have seen poor reviews for this hotel and I do not understand why this should be as it was certainly not our experience.

While the room was basic it was very clean, the great cost and great location more than made up for big hotel amenities. Steps away from Kings Cross this was a great choice after my Eurostar plans changed at the last minute.
