We booked 2 rooms at the same time due to family size. Contacted the hotel before and while the acknowledged the message they said they can't guarantee rooms together and then we ended up 4 or 5 rooms apart. Hotel room was ok, bathroom was nice.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury recently and overall the hotel was fine, but I had a disappointing experience during breakfast. While waiting to use the toaster, another guest was quite unreasonable, and instead of handling the situation neutrally, the staff only checked on the other person and completely ignored me, even though I was also part of the interaction. As a paying guest, I felt the response was biased and the staff could have shown better awareness and fairness. It was not a major incident, but it did affect my experience. I hope the hotel will improve staff training in handling guest interactions more professionally.

Unfortunately the hotel has lots of construction going on and we got put on floor with active construction in older rooms. We’d have to walk by handling light fixtures and found a razor blade on floor one evening. Staff was great. Breakfast is great. I’m sure once remodeling is all complete it will be a 4 or 5 star experience.
