Our room was extremely small and the inside was 2 levels, saftey is a big issue. Very small bathroom, shower and sink. Double bed was small but comfortable. Room did not have a iron and board and the one they supplied was old. We had to walk up a flight of 20 steps just to get to the room

The interior furnishings were stunning and this was such a lovely hotel. Staff secured our luggage for the day and let us check in a few hours early. They were very accommodating and if I'm ever in London again I would definitely stay here.

Super stay

Excellent location for our 3 night stay. Close to super restaurants and Hyde park and Kensington Park are fabulous to walk round. Breakfast was super with lots of choice. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were efficient and friendly.

Beautiful historic hotel! We truly enjoyed our stay. Friendly helpful staff, quiet location with beautiful park across the street. Unfortunately, the property is not accessible friendly. We had to carry all our luggage up several steps to enter and the hallways and elevators are very small and narrow.

Nice hotel, great location

Excellent location, hotel was nicer than I expected based on photos. Rooms are small, but that’s to be expected in London. It was a very comfortable and quiet place for my friend and I to stay for a girls weekend. Easy to walk to everything and Hyde park is steps away.

I don’t normally write reviews, but here we are. Here are the pros: The lobby is beautiful and what you see in the pictures. The convenience of two underground transportations being around the corner for one and a block away for the other, is amazing. Just around the corner, there is an entire street after street filled with little restaurants and touristy shops. There is a little cafe Pret that is around the corner. Great coffee with variety of freshly made sandwiches, sweets, salads, and soups. Reasonably priced and great. Kensington palace across the street. Cons: the hotel is falling apart and they know it and aren’t concerned. Every hotel door lock has been disabled since they put in the electronic card entry. So the only lock is a thin chain across the door. And they keep a window opened to the out side in the hall so someone technically can just come through the window. My friends door chain promptly broke off the first night. The safes are not functioning. The heat did not function. I have been in many European rooms and I know they are small. But these rooms when sitting in your bed, you can almost touch the walls with both hands stretched out in their deluxe accommodation. There is snot ample space to put anything. Tiny desk, tiny phone stand, and bathroom has barely any room for your things. Near impossible to take shower without flooding bathroom. The doors of the rooms stick and in order to close them, you literally have to slam them.

Excellent location, good value for money and helpful staff. Breakfast was also reasonably priced. However, I would suggest that wine glasses should be available in the hotel bar, I draw the line at being offered a half pint glass, and that an alternative house wine be considered. That said, I would book again without hesitation.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming. Lovely old building filled with character of its era. Another visitor arriving recalled being in the building about 40 or 50 yrs ago. Room a small but filled my needs.. Hotel was close to Tubes and stores.. Close to Kensington Palace..lovely spot..

We had a great stay at the Grand Royale Hyde Park. It was in an excellent location. Loved it was so near Hyde Park. It was easy to get around London - near the Underground. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend the hotel to my friends.

Staff brilliant as ever. Room(720)....very snug, especially with a mattress smaller than bed base,a shower that wouldn't stay still once it was on and so made the bathroom floor soaking wet and what looked like mould on the ceiling......very sad. Been to the hotel many times, always been great....it felt very tired this time.
