Contact the hotel in advance as our daughter was temporarily needing a wheelchair… great response and they gave us a ground floor family room for accessibility.
Beds really comfortable. Yes you can hear and feel the underground but I guess that’s to be expected when you book a hotel so close to Paddington! Room was warm but again… an older building so to be expected.
Location great!
Room Number 2 in this Hotel is unsuitable for a nights sleep. It is on top of the under line and the noise is unbelievable. The whole room shakes and is deafening when a train passes. As you cannot guarantee what room they will assign you i would avoid this Hotel at all costs. You will not sleep. Also when you leave the Hotel at midnight they will refuse to refund a room that is completely unacceptable as a Hotel room.
I had a comfortable week-long stay in this hotel. The single room was surely tight, however it had most of the necessities (no fridge) and it worked for me as I did not plan to spend a lot of time indoors. Mind that there is neither an elevator in the building nor a door to the bathroom in the single room.
The staff was welcoming and addressed all my requests.
The location near the bus stops, the Hyde Park, the underground and the train stations made it a very convenient stay for the first stay in London. It was a safe area to walk late at night. There were lots of shops and cafes in the neighborhood. The square garden in front of the building is a nice place to stroll, relax, have a snack, or catch up with your phone calls.
At first I was frustrated and disappointed with the initial room given to me, and the price above the standard room that they charged me. But I was very happy with the room they gave me which was a double instead of a single. It had a balcony and the doors were magnificent. The service was excellent at the front desk in the morning.
-Lovely staff, warm greeting on arrival initially and when we came back and forth in the day. Also from the ladies that did our breakfast.
-Brilliant price for the location. V close to Paddington station, bus stop less than a minute away. Close to Hyde park, lovely stroll to the Italian gardens.
-Tasty fry up for breakfast, perfectly done eggs.
- Will definitely stay again.
-Rook decor a little dated but bathroom small andodern decor, all very clean.
Good hotel for the price and location, room was clean, bed was comfortable and the ensuite shower was spacious with hot and cold water. Perfect for business stayers.
We had a wonderful stay overall and wish there were fans in the room, as it did get a bit warm. We will definitely stay here again in the future. The staff was available 24/7, and the location was conveniently situated near shopping, dining, and the train station.

The room was a bit cramped and in need of freshening, felt weathered.

This hotel was in a convenient location; close to buses, the Tube and good dining options. The staff was friendly; the wifi worked well; the beds were comfortable, coffee, tea & a kettle were provided in the room. The rooms were very small; with small bathrooms. Our bathroom had no ventilation/fan so there was mold in a couple of spots on the door frame. There was no air conditioning and our window faced close walls on all 3 sides, so there was no air movement at all and we were there when it was hot. All the hotels seem to use duvets only, which are just too hot without A/C; luckily we found duvet covers in the drawers under the bed and just used them. The hotel was also able to provide a fan, or we wouldn’t have gotten any sleep due to the heat.
