Excellent location for walking or taking the subway. Lots of good dining options nearby. I arrived very early for check in but the hotel called me as promised when my room was ready.
I really
liked this grand old hotel. It had a sophisticated charm and you could imagine yourself pulling up in a horse drawn carriage in the 1800s. The lobby had beautiful split staircases and a huge Incredible chandelier It was very near the west end shows and super convenient to transport and shopping and dining. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious for three of us with the sofa pulled out. The complimentary snacks were a nice touch and the staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating. The only negatives were about the plumbing. It made a strange knocking sound whenever we turned the water on in the sink or tub or flushed the toilet and the water got warm but not super hot, but I prefer a very hot shower/bath so this may not be an issue for some. It’s not uncommon for old buildings like this to have plumbing issues so it was not unexpected and didn’t take away from the overall charm of the hotel.
Stayed here for 3 nights in March. Hotel is in a great location to walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, and other attractions. The hotel is very big and spread out, took a while to figure out how to find out rooms. Loved it!

Old Yellow towels, bedding and bad showers.
I have stayed at this this hotel for over 15 years, visiting family in London. I stayed there when it was the Grosvenor and a few times since under the new name, Clermont. Frankly while the lobby looks great the room was pretty outdated, threadbare but most of all the issues were cleanliness of bedding and towels. The bedding and towels were very old, once were probably white but now, particularly the towels are yellow and rough. I'd sort of expect this from one of the B&B's down the street but those are less than half the nightly rate. This is very disappointing for what is supposed to be a luxury hotel.
I made the same complaint to the survey from the hotel and management but nothing was done to rectify the situation. This is also very surprising because there are other nicer hotels in Victoria, the Rui, The Victoria Park Plaza and Citizen M, and they are typically 20%+ cheaper. These hotels also have walk-in showers, whereas the Clermont had only a tub with a short glass partition for the shower which also had a very high step-in and step-out was pretty dangerous.

The Clemont Victoria is our go-to hotel in London! It is conveniently located steps away from Victoria Station and very safe. I would suggest booking the Deluxe King Room over the Classic King Room, as it was much more spacious, well-maintained, and lift-accessible. The free snack and water refills were great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic location, lovely hotel with a comfortable stay. Would’ve been nice to have a smart TV. Sink was struggling to drain & shower room was a bit tight space wise. Would recommend for sheer convenience.
