Property has a good location Rooms are clean and tidy. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was very tasty Only issue was the bed , it was uncomfortable. The matress has some pile and I could feel it through the bed sheets. I had to put the blanket over the matress so I could sleep

Disappointing stay, unlikely to return

Disappointing check in after booking a king room and being given a room with a double and single, and minimal natural light. No gold benefits were offered until I asked. Sheets were stained and not fitted to the bed properly, and an open bottle of sparkling water was in the fridge. Given this was a $300+ a night room without breakfast, and our family have stayed at this property about twice a year since it opened it was overall disappointing.

Close to hospitals and walking distance to great restaurants - either in the same street or to China Town in the Valley. Bus stop to the city is a short walk that is safe and clear to get to. Staff are helpful, well organised and friendly. Have stayed a few times and will be returning.

Hot room

The room was incredibly hot. I turned the aircon on to the lowest temperature and after half an hour the room was still hot. I left the room for it to a chill a bit before coming back at night and it was still hot. I reported the issue to concierge, but apart from using a temperature gun aimed at the air vent, did nothing to rectify the issue. This made for an uncomfortable valentines with my partner as it was too hot to go under the blankets. Giving 2 stars because breakfast was fantastic.

The location was perfect for us, visiting to see a concert at The Tivoli, restaurants and venue a short stroll away. The hotel was exceptional and the buffet breakfast excellent value. We’ll be back.
