They had tried to run my card the night before and apparently the card didn't go through. I didn't understand why but after speaking with my card servicer found out that they had tried to process the card seven times which is why it was declined. Since Travelocity had already authorized the card when I booked the room, the hotel attempting to do so at the same dollar amount looked fraudulent . I've never had a hotel. Tried to reauthorize my card again after Travelocity had already done so .My information from Travelocity including my phone number and email address did not carry over to the hotel's information so they could not contact me, so they canceled my room. I was very upset with the desk clerk so she got the manager who apologized and found a room for us. Which I appreciated because I had an event that evening and had nowhere to shower or change. Although there was a problem they did rectify it and I have to give them credit for that. A lot of hotels would not have done so. Given how accommodating they were and cooperative after the issue I would give them four stars. They only left off one star because I've never had a The hotel do this. They said several other Travelocity reservations with the same declination, so I'm going to assume they're attempt to authorize the evening before after Travelocity had already authorized it once. Also created fraud issues on other people's accounts. I would suggest they reevaluate this procedure.

The hotel was great. However multiple staff had quite the stand off attitude and felt like we were an inconvenience. More over, they had an issue with my card even though it had been authorized and I had the transaction I’d. They made me feel as though I did something wrong. Then 2 days later It was charged again for full amount plus the amount we spent at the lil store there, even though we paid cash for the store. So I was charged twice for every single thing. That is stealing! I have worked for Hilton as a front desk manager for 8 years and I have never witnessed such poor customer service and business practices. So no I will never return to this property nor its sister hotel Hampton Inn in Verona. I have contacted Choice Hotels corporate office and initiated an investigation. I work hard for my money and while the stay was alright all and all the price at which this is now costing us not worth it along with the inconvenience of this mess. Your night auditor and front desk manager, as well as your front desk team, need more training with the computer system and how it works. OnQ? Opera? Or PMS (Advantage)? I’d be more than happy to give you a training course on any and all ☺️

I am sorry to say the experience of my stay was terrible considering the above average amount i was charged for the room. My booking was changed and my double queen bed was made to a single King bed. We were 3 people making it very inconvenient. The A/C wasn't working properly making the room very HOT. Overall none of us slept properly . We were to attend a wedding in the morning ; suffice to say we were not in the best of spirits !

Wait for the hot water..

My 2nd time staying here with my Mom. We were celebrating my 58th birthday. Had a great time at the Turningstone. Everything was great until I wanted to take a shower in the morning. After figuring out how to get the water on in the shower, I waited about 10 min to let the water get hot. It never got hot and was just a drizzle. No shower for me. When checking out we were told, "oh you have to let the water run for at least 15 minutes for it to get hot in that part of the hotel. No apology, no care at all. I was very disappointed and dirty. Happy Birthday to me.
