If you’re looking for a modern, stylish stay on the Gold Coast, Dorsett Gold Coast offers a generally enjoyable experience, with a few minor hiccups along the way. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a sleek, contemporary feel and a touch of Gold Coast glamour. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out, Overall, it has a boutique vibe that feels fresh and inviting. The location is a standout. Being in Broadbeach and connected to The Star precinct makes it incredibly convenient — everything from restaurants to the beach is within easy walking distance. Facilities are also good, particularly the pool area, which has a relaxed, resort-style feel. It’s a great space to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. However, there were a few minor issues that took away from the overall experience. On arrival, the room wasn’t quite up to standard, with things like a dusty window behind the blind that detracted from the presentation. The breakfast is held at the star and can quickly fill up. Service was generally friendly, but at times lacked consistency, e.g. organised a Wake up call that never came. Overall, Dorsett is a good option if you value style and location, but a little more attention to detail would elevate the experience. Rating: 3 out of 5

Our stay at the Meriton at Surfers Paradise was Amazing!! We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience, view or stay.

Check in was smooth and fast. Our room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The facilities (pool, bbq etc.) were well maintained and inviting. Our view from a 1 bedroom ocean view apartment was beautiful. We watched the sun rise over the ocean and the lights of all of the boats floating down the river at night. Plenty of close by dining options. My only feedback is our bed was too firm and the bathrooms in the 1 bed apt are not accessible by the bedroom. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay again.

Hotel is great, lovely pool and close to beach. Room was OK (no free upgrade this time) and having to hand over your luggage immediately on arrival (pre-check in) was unexpected and not really warranted.

I had booked a corner room with a balcony it is great to be able to have a sliding door to open
