This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Excellent doesn’t do this hotel justice. It’s over the top in staff and amenities. You won’t regret a stay here.

The hotel itself was beautiful, with lovely facilities and a nice pool area. However, the location wasn’t ideal for us, as it’s in a quiet residential area — about a 30-minute walk to either Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach. The pool was great, though it would be even better if there were a separate pool area for children, as the main pool (especially near the pool bar) tended to get quite busy with kids.

It doesn’t matter how good the facilities are or how nice the staff is if we can’t have a restful night’s sleep. The beds were quite uncomfortable but the worst thing was that they squeaked and creaked very loudly with even the slightest movement. In all our years of staying in hotels all over the world we’ve never experienced such a clamour from our beds. Also, the room was hot and stuffy. The air conditioner wasn’t doing its job so we turned it off and opened the doors but that was only a minuscule improvement. For the price of this hotel it’s really not good enough. Fancy gyms and a nice pool are all well and good, but a proper night’s rest is essential, and we didn’t get that.
