I’ve stayed here many times over the years, it’s always been a great choice.it was this time as well with only one exception. The water pressure for a bath or shower was vey poor. Never experienced this before so likely a unusual and one time problem

I’ve stayed at the Sunset Motel twice now and both times have gone great. It’s dog-friendly, close to multiple places to eat, safer than Albuquerque (my opinion), and it has historic charm. The staff is always friendly and the check in & out process is always fast and easy.

Family owned business showed pride in ownership. Staff were very friendly. Room very clean and loved the “little rubber yellow ducks” you saw in office @ check in and in bathroom sitting on tub. I forgot to ask the significance, but a welcoming sight! Would stay here again!

Awesome Route 66 Gem

We didn't know what to expect at this older hotel on Route 66, but from the friendly greeting from the owner, the nostalgic vibe of everything, it was wonderful. The little extras really set them apart, from a snack bag, to the little yellow duck or hershey kisses. I didn't worry about locking doors, even. Truly like stepping back in time, in such a good way. If you are traveling Route 66, give them a try. You will be glad you did! ❤️
