Wont stay here again

Staff coming in was friendly, however the night staff was not, we got accused of not being a costumer staying at the hotel. We were told hot breakfast was being served in the morning, which there was not only hot item was waffles we make ourselves. The outside is run down, the inside wasnt in much better shape, we felt like we were at a cheap motel. No locks on the outsides of any of the doors so anyone could walk right in. Our room lock was broken and multiple doors to the rooms were all seemed to have been broken into or tried. The pool is only 3 feet throughout and very cold.

This hotel was spacious. The staff were friendly and helped solve issues (.e.g refrig wasn't turned on when we arrived, but easily fixed through instructions). Beds comfortable. Lovely full breakfast in the morning. The only strange thing was that the hot water knob in the bathtub was on the right with cold on the left. Labels would be nice. We figured it out after a period of thinking we had no hot water.

Not a Gym

I need to have a gym when I drive a long way, to exercise before I sit in a car. The gym was dreadful. The exercise bike did not work, one treadmill stopped after two minutes, the other treadmill was rocking back and forth, it made a squeaking noise so loud I could not hear the music on my headphones. There was also nowhere to hold my phone or water bottle on the noisy treadmill. The weight machine was so dirty I did not want to touch it, and the floor was too dirty for me to stretch on the ground. Also, the gym TV did not work, and I could not get WiFi to work, so I could not listen to any podcast or to Sirius radio. The employees were all lovely, the bed was comfy, and the heat worked well so I was warm, all of which are important. But not having a gym ruins my stay, when a nice-looking gym is advertised on line.

The back door to the property should have a security lock on. It should only allow to be opened by your room key. That back door allows anyone off the street to walk into the hotel and into the hallways. That is a security issue and it made me feel not safe. The showerhead in the bathroom was horrible. It had multiple leaks and water was spraying everywhere.

Too pricey forroom in desperate need of renovation

Staff were courteous and helpful, when present. Housekeeping performs huge task of keeping this shabby facility presentable, neat, and clean. However, mold in bathroom, peeling wallpaper, damaged lampshades, chairs, unsecured entry doors were extremely off putting. I appreciated late checkout, but front desk was unstaffed when I did leave. Would not stay again.
