Clean room, love this place! Nice towels, all really good, though horrible bed that needs to replaced-told front desk who were very sympathetic & said they’d let housekeeping know to replace the mattress! Always nice people, great bar & lounge, excellent & reasonably food, try their green chili!!

NEAT HOTEL!!!! We requested a room with a balcony that could see the hills, and they graciously accommodated! Check in/out was very easy, friendly staff, room was very clean! I’d definitely recommend booking here!

The room was immaculate, small (and the bathroom tiny), and very charming (and the shower excellent). We quite enjoyed our stay. A strength are the common areas. We lingered quite some time in front of the fire in the lobby and then on the second floor overlooking the lobby or on the porch watching the sky turn color. We really liked that the bar (and restaurant) were attached. We last stayed here in 1992. We enjoyed it then and enjoyed it in 2025.

The ambiance was wonderful, the room not so much The air conditioning was turned off while our stay there. The room, even though we had 2 fans going as well as two windows opened never got below 81 degrees.

A fun stop on a road trip but I wouldn't spend more than one night. The room didn't have a hair dryer or mini fridge. Room was big but the bathroom was tiny. They turn the air conditioner off in the winter which was inconvenient. It's heater only. The lobby is a must-see and it's right on the old Route 66. I've always wanted to stay here and I glad I did it.

My room was wonderful, but definitely for one person only. This hotel is quite a TREASURE CHEST of history, celebrity photos, great longhorn furniture, beautiful light fixtures, cozy fireplaces, wonderful gift shop, and excellent Mexican food breakfast….try the Monument Valley Enchiladas!! Salsa is wonderful. The employees are kind and fun in the way I remember way-back-when.
