Staff was pleasant, attentive and accommodating. The chicken mole in their dining room was excellent. The decor in the lobby was unique and very interesting. Great to stay for arriving later in the afternoon because good food, a bar and lots of things to read on the walls provides a 1 stop place without having to get in the car again. Beds were very comfortable. Hear train horns through the night but that can’t be avoided because of the cross country railroad.

old hollywood charm in gallop NM

i love this hotel and usually i stay there when Im traveling back accross country. The hotel has so much charm and history of old Hollywood Westerns movies that were filmed there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the bar is great place to hang.

This is a really cool historic hotel. The vibe in this small New Mexico town is relaxed, and the hotel drips nostalgia and early Hollywood western movie charm. The place is fun to explore, the lobby smells like a pinion pine forest, and the staff does their part to create a welcoming, accommodating atmosphere. Then, after you have enjoyed the good food in the restaurant, had a drink at the quaint bar, you can retire to your Western-themed room, which is full of thoughtful unique touches. From the comfortable beds to the remodeled rooms that keep their style, like old-fashioned closets and a full height chest of drawers, the experience continues in each one-of-a-kind home for the night. Sure the plugs and bathroom may not compare to a brand new hotel, but that is what makes this THE place to stay on old Route 66 across New Mexico! Don’t think about it, book here if you are staying in Gallup, or even if you are not, stop here for at least one night!

What a fun nostalgic hotel love the beds beware rooms are a wee bit small but very nicely appointed. Dinner in restaurant was delicious. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will return lived every bit of it.

The decor of the hotel is excellent. It is modern but feels vintage Americana. I did wish the room had a fridge, but we enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay there again.
