"Just Perfect For Our Short Stay In Melbourne"
We had the pleasure of staying at Best Western Melbourne's Princes Park Motor Inn for 3 nights in October 2015. We arrived very tired after a very long straight through drive from Perth. Check in was effortless and the staff very helpful providing an extra room key card and useful information along with some complimentary vouchers for a local hotel. We easily located our room and were very pleased with the décor and level of cleanliness. The beds were very comfortable and we were very pleased that we had a separate kitchen that provided all of the basic essentials. Pleasingly several Foxtel channels are available for free along with free WiFi.The bathroom was well appointed with a large shower that although perfectly sufficient, doesn't have very strong pressure and has a very small shower head. We had a little balcony that overlooked a beautiful park full of families and happy dog walkers and joggers. There is a laundry & room service available with a very wide choice of food options. This lovely hotel ticked all of the boxes for us and we were very happy with the hotel and the service from the staff. A very convenient location for access to the city with the tram line directly across the road, which takes you into the heart of the city in under 30 minutes. There is also a train station less than a 10 minute walk away, this easy access to Melbourne fantastic public transport makes getting around effortless.Overall we were very pleased with the staff, service and accommodation

Dolma Hotel

Enjoyed our stay, close to where we wanted to go while staying in Melbourne. Our family of six were very comfortable. Travelled to clip and climb and found it warm and comfortable inside as the weather outside was bad. We only had one night but managed to fit in a movie at Victoria Gardens as well. The children thought it was great with us all in the one room

    Pocket Guide: Essendon

Keen for a Melbourne getaway but away from the bright lights of the city? Essendon is way more ‘laxed than most other bustling Melbourne suburbs, but it’s still just 20 minutes from the centre of the buzz. This suburb is most famous for being home to the Essendon Football Club, one of the most successful AFL teams in Australia! And for the ladies, there’s plenty of shopping. Organise your posse of friends and book your Essendon accommodation with us now!

If you’re a crazy Bombers fan, then live up your fan status at the home club on Windy Hill. Don your Bombers scarf and jersey and stop in for lunch at the Terrace Bistro, then catch some entertainment and linger through the afternoon with a few cold ones at the Lounge Bar. What better way to indulge your fanaticism? To really make your friends jelly back home, take a tour of the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) or the Roman amphitheatre-style Etihad Stadium. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a game if you didn’t already snag your ticket three months ago!

If the sound of all that Bombers talk doesn’t get you pumped, maybe you’d prefer to pump up your suitcase with a few new buys. Who are we kidding? Of course you would! Head straight to Essendon Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) to scour your way through new season buys and sale racks with up to 70% off. You’ll be all blinged up in no time! For something a little more local, check out the Essendon Fields Shopping Centre, which has 15 speciality stores and a supermarket. For fresh local produce, don’t miss the North Essendon Village Farmers Market, where you can pick up the perfect picnic basket full of breads, deli items, homemade smallgoods, fresh produce and scented soaps.

For a bit more scenery and action, head to the Essendon Airport for a Jet Fighter Flight, Supersonic Flight or Warbird Adventure flight. Whether it’s extreme speed, aerobatics or military combat manoeuvres that’ll spread your grin across from ear to ear, you’re bound to love one of these adrenalin-pumping sky-high escapades above the entire city. For something a wee bit gentler, take to the river with a private ride on a Melbourne Water Taxi, which can pick you up from Canning Street and tour you around the waters.

A stay in Essendon whips together a mix of adrenalin-pumping adventure, cool and classy shopping finds, and the crazy fun of acting out your fanatical love for the Bombers. And it’s still just 20 minutes to the Melbourne CBD! Dig in and organise your Essendon hotel with us so you can live every lastminute!
