Can’t be beat for Carlsbad National Park,

Immeduately adjacent to Carlsbad National Park entrance. Tiny town, closest town 16 miles away. Huge, clean room, fridge, microwave, quality of furnishings demonstrated by brushed nickel bsthroom hardware, not chrome. Micro water park on property, Less than Motel 6.

Great location from which to visit Carlsbad Caverns NP and Guadalupe Mountains NP. There isn't much to Whites City (in terms of restaurants and other amenities). Room was clean and comfortable, although the hotel was having issues with its cable/satellite feed so the TV options were limited. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel in area!

Traveling with my college son back to CA. HUGE room. It’s an older hotel but very clean, comfy beds, great A/C, and shower! Lots of room. We will definitely stop here again. The pools were closed, but it’s only 71 outside and on the cooler side.

The hotel was very close to the cave but because we went early in the year they didn’t have the pool open and the restaurant closed by 3 pm which meant we drove into the city of Carlsbad anyway. Eating area was small and breakfast had a small selection as well.

Cute hotel! Room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. There was a restaurant nextdoor that states its open online (perfect hours) but in real life the hours are very limited and it was closed when we arrived, so you need to drive 20 miles away for any food. The "free" breakfast was a bowl of sugary cereal or a pre-packaged muffin, it was not what I would call "breakfast". That was the only downside to this hotel as we were headed to the Carlsbad Caverns for the day and we were hungry for a substantial breakfast! Staff was so nice and the beds were comfortable for our 1 night stay!

The older lady at the desk didnt welcomeus nor did she introduce herself. During our check in another guest had to come to the office to ask for toilet paper. On the website it also says that the pool is open from May 1st through Sept. It was not open for swimming or lounging. On top of that one of the housekeepers was standing outside of a room with the door open smoking with came into our room. Staff should have a designated smoking area not near a non smoking room. Hopefully these concerns will be looked at and improved on. The room was clean and stocked with the necessities.

This is a very big, clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay if you are visiting Carlsbad Caverns. It’s only 7 miles from the Visitor Center. The thing you need to keep in mind is you have very limited dining options near the motel. So eat in the town of Carlsbad before you arrive or bring food with you. Or you’ll have to drive 40 miles round trip to get food and get back to the motel. Would recommend.
