The McBride house is a very interesting and unique place! It is filled to the brim with antique items with fun photo opps, lots of things to do (pool and foosball tables, drum sets, theater and gaming consoles, hot tub, ..) and beautiful dining room and family room. William was a very responsive and gracious host who reached out in advance of the booking and stayed connected throughout our stay.Unfortunately I had to take off a couple of stars, because:1) the VRBO descriptions on bed arrangements were inaccurate. The game room has 1 bed instead of 2, and the theater was listed as a sleeping futon which didn't have any. (The theater futon seems to have been corrected since)2) It can get VERY cold. Of course I need to cut some slacks here because we were there in a subzero weekend - but the whole place felt so cold many of us wore our jackets to the bed in the first night. Especially, the loft remained 5053 degrees throughout our stay, so we couldn't sleep in the room at all.Combined, these two problems made some of us sleep on the couches and on the floor (with sleeping mats they had) - and the latter had pretty bad sleep. If we knew either of these in advance, we would have reconsidered. Also, if you go there: try the Mornings cafe downtown!
