Don’t miss this place

The attention to detail here is amazing. They had coloring books for the kids (that I mentioned were coming in passing after the owner messaged me upon booking) and extra towels without us having to request it. Room was very clean. Has a great view. Fantastic customer service…and we haven’t even had the homemade cinnamon rolls yet.

The new owners have done a wonderful job with renovations! I stayed at Fox Mountain Inn years ago and noticed the improved cleanliness of the rooms, new paint, an outdoor pet area, and the fire pit. The owners both greeted us, made sure we could access the room, provided coffee and rolls in the morning. In addition, there was frequent communication about our stay.

Don’t miss this one.

This was a sweet, spotless place with quiet and green hills all around. The price is right AND there are homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning. Highly recommend.

We really loved the personal touches Michelle and Jim provided from check in to check out. They were so welcoming and willing to accommodate our large party and anything extra we might need. The rooms were spotless and beds were comfy with clean towels and linens. The mini fridge was plenty big enough for us as was the microwave. We did not get a chance to enjoy the nightly firepit fires as we were mostly fatigued from riding our motorcycles but Jim was willing to start one if we wanted. Next time! Easy access to many great riding places and Jim and Michelle can give you some interesting places to go. It was a great trip!

We were headed to the Metallica concert at Virginia Tech and looked for a place heading back towards Johnson City, TN to stay after the concert. This was a surprising little gem. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained with picnic tables and seating around a fire pit for evening enjoyment. The owners, Jim & Michelle Overdorff were very accommodating. If we find ourselves back in that area needing a place to stay, we will call the Fox Mountain Inn before looking further. We highly recommend this place.

A very basic, comfortable motel, easy to find, no highway noise. New owners are working hard on amenities with an emphasis on ‘basic’ and comfortable . Very clean, pet friendly rooms. Perfect stop after a long day. Also loved the Mexican restaurant next door.

This was my planned halfway point on my drive from Massachusetts to Pensacola, FL. It is close to the highway and the owners, Jim & Michelle were very accommodating and kind! The room was clean and I was provided with everything I needed! My stay was wonderful and I will definitely stay at the Fox Mountain Inn again if I ever travel through the area again.
