Positives: The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly Neutral: pet fees are per night, so I wouldn’t rate this hotel as super pet friendly. Negatives: breakfast was lukewarm at best each morning. Our room lacked hot showers. Water wouldn’t get above warm and then only for a few minutes.

Undoubtedly it is safe, convenient, and quiet. It's in the woods, by itself, with no traffic to speak of. It is right off the interstate and perfectly located if you are going to Busch Gardens/Water Country USA. But beyond that, it really isn't worth the money. It is in serious need of renovation. Only third tier motels still give out travel sample size bottles of conditioner and shampoo. And the shower stalls do not even have a shelf to put them on. Not to mention, there isn't anywhere to hang your towel except to thread it through the shower door handle. At some point they put in a new toilet, but they didn't even bother to take the sticker completely off of it. For what you pay, you would expect more. I'm not saying it should be top tier, but they should be doing a lot more than what they are. The staff was nice, the breakfast was edible. Do note that it is not walkable to anything. Anywhere you want to go, you are going to have to drive to get there. Fortunately, it's not that far out of the way.

Eh, okay but not great.

Biggest complaint is out of the three rooms we had reserved for the night, none would thoroughly flush the toilet. It acted as if it was going to overflow. When I told the front desk, they acted surprised but then our friends who also had issues stated they overheard someone else complaining prior to my checkout… it looks like they are trying to spruce up the place with new paint in areas but overall our floor (8th) needs some real work.

Location cannot be beat. We stayed for a golf groups weekend and it was the perfect location, keeping several courses within a 15 minute drive. Beds are excellent and the large rooms were perfect for 10-12 of us to gather for watching some football and hanging out after each round.
