Quick stay
It was a quick stay. We were in the area for a wedding. The room was very small, but had everything we needed for the most part.

I stay here every year for 10 years. I got such a small room it was hard to move around in. Chair in room had seat cushion broken called for replacement. Noe not replacing. For the money $400 a night ill find a new hotel next year
We chose Kalispell Grand Hotel because of its location and history. We walked to the points of interest that we wanted to see, ate at local restaurants that are nearby, and enjoyed the upscale continental breakfasts. Would stay here again.
Beautiful, classic hotel, Art Deco style, and very well kept. Historic preservation plus modern upkeep. Right in the middle of walkable area, highly recommend.
It was nice to stay in a hotel that’s been operated since 1912, so there’s a historical component to it. Looks newly remodeled, and it’s nicely decorated. If you get one of the front rooms (facing Main St), it’s super noisy. The windows are thin or something. It was like I was camping on the sidewalk. Kids racing up and down the street until 12:30 on a Sunday night. Front desk said they’re cracking down on that (for Friday nights), but kids moved their fun to Sundays now, it seems. Quiet in the morning though.
Nice grand hotel. Staff is very nice. Only issue involves the road in front of the hotel. Motorcycles and loud pickup trucks have decided that this is their spot to make noise in the evening. I understand Friday nights are the worst. Wed was not much better. Town council will not deal with it. Because of the noise, I probably would not stay again.
The location was fantastic! Right on Main Street with parking and cool shops. The only reason this isnt 5 star was because my room looked over Main Street and there was street racing all night. No fault of the hotel.

An old property, but very clean and convenient. the breakfast was very lacking, but the personnel at the facilyt were all very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is nicely restored. The breakfast was ok, our room was very small, it was our last night in town and we wanted repack our things and we could barely fit our 3 suitcases and out selves in the room to rest-pack. The toilet did not flush well.
But the stay was ok.
Desk staff was great....I think his name was Chance... wanted to be near the action and to see this historic hotel. I didn't quite realize what that meant on a Friday night in Kalispell, just off the main drag. In the early evening 6-8pm it was very noisy with a whole bunch of cars cruising the main drag....it was quite the car show (I mean really...some amazing vehicles)....luckly by the time I came back to the hotel around 9:30, there were several police cars pulling people over and quieting the place down by about 10PM. I was really nervous I wasn't going to get any sleep but with local law enforcement, the window air conditioner and my normal ear-plugs....I slept like a baby.
Very nice young man who checked us in, gave us restaurant options and had cookies and popcorn for us! Older hotel but great character. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would stay here again.
Everyone except one male manager was very unfriendly. Most staff never smiled, said hello when they saw us or at breakfast. Never even made eye contact. We did not feel very welcome. Breakfast was sparse, nothing fresh. Same thing everyday. Everything wrapped in plastic wrap.Staff acted put out when told an item was empty.
The room we were initially given was very small even tho I had told them it was our anniversary and requested one of their nicer rooms. After going back down to desk and asking for a better room we were accommodated to a larger more suitable room. No amenities in room. Ie: bottle of water, microwave, coffee maker etc.
Furniture was old and worn. For the price I expected more. The location is good however if you want to be in downtown Kalispell. They did charge us $10/day for parking even tho the website said free parking. After we complained they did remove the charge.
