The property has been recently renovated, so the rooms and property are quite nice. The outdoor pool is not heated. Towels are inconsistently stocked in both the outdoor and indoor pool areas. The property's hot water was completely inoperable for nearly 24 hours of our stay, and the front desk's (which is only staffed until 10PM) only solution was to offer a change of room (to another room without functional hot water). For ~$500/night, I have bare minimum requirements of being able to take a hot shower after freezing in your pool. The air conditioning units are also non-sensically in the (very small) bathroom area, leaving the main sleeping area poorly cooled - I can see it being quite uncomfortable during the height of summer. I cannot see myself ever booking at this property again in the future.

Decorative features of the rooms were nice, but experienced overall cleanliness issues. Floors were not well vacumed, leading to number of dustballs on the floor. Towels were not clean which had clumps of hair in them.

We just stayed this weekend. This hotel is ADORABLE. It’s decorated so well, it’s spotless, the staff is super friendly. The pools are gorgeous, the fire pits are cozy and there’s a beautiful marsh area to sit in the morning and watch the birds. I can’t wait to go again when the restaurants are open.

We loved everything about our stay (voyageur). The check-in was welcoming and easy (with friendly staff and fun shoppe). The rooms are themed and had just been renovated. They are lovely. The hard wired rotary phone phone actually worked ( not just for show , the detailing in each room was so well done). We even had a large group in the rooms next to us and could not hear them until we went out! The pool is fantastic, it is off the main road and feels private and luxurious. There are fire pit and cornhole games on the grounds, just really a lovely time away. Family friendly, couple friendly and good time all around. The gift shop had unique gifts. We will definitely be staying there again!

We ended up at the Uncommoner after our VRBO was a disaster. The hotel is absolutely wonderful and uniquely designed/recently remodeled. Very well thought out and great staff! Kids loved both the indoor and outdoor pool. I loved all of the design aspects. Nearby mini golf, coffee shop, and ice cream.

Uncommoner is uncommonly good!

This hotel is truly a gem. It’s brand new, beautifully designed and you can tell every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The staff are genuinely warm, welcoming, and helpful. I highly recommend.

Design and renovation of rooms and lobby are overall spectacular. Design and interiors are amazing. The parking area is in need of repair. The roadways and parking areas are very old and irregular. The stairs and decking should be replaced. Cafe and restaurant are not open yet. Music is too loud and played into evening. Pillows and bedding are not what they should be given the quality of interior spaces. Could be a timing issue.

Happily Surprised

Stayed at the Uncommoner for a long weekend getaway with my family. My daughter loved every second of our stay and keeps talking about how much she loved the pools and the fire pits. The room was nicely remodeled and themed. Only complaint was that the AC was not as cool as we would have liked. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
